Mobile Solutions Consultant

We have an immediate need for a Mobile Solutions Consultant who will be based at our world headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The Mobile Solutions Consultant position works with clients of the Consulting Group to identify, specify, design, develop, test, and implement custom mobile software solutions. This includes full life cycle project management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs analysis that will provide necessary data to write project specification document
• Design mobile software solutions to satisfy customer needs
• Use technical skills in Syclo software products as well as external software products necessary to meet the customers’ requirements
• Use testing skills to perform necessary tests to determine products’ ability to meet customer requirements and project specifications
• Write project plans, scope documents, and project status documents
• Work with customers’ and Syclo’s project teams
• Assist with proposals as needed in proposal development and proposal packaging activities
• Develop extensive Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills to assist in the proposal process
• Identify new business opportunities at current clients work sites
• Work with customers to identify further needs that may lead to future mobile solutions consulting projects
• Perform work for clients in such a manner as to create an outstanding reference for self and for Company

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical area preferred
• Familiar with Object Oriented programming language structure
• Minimum 3 years of Java programming and analysis experience
• Minimum 3 years experience with Windows Mobile Devices 
• Knowledge of SQL in detail (not a DBA, but know how to create tables, indices, complex joins, updates, etc)
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL server Databases (database tuning, etc.)
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and WWAN
• Excellent communication, negotiation, testing, writing, time management and project management skills in order to work with clients to identify and specify the project requirements as well as maintaining customer communication during the life of the project.
• Ability to work well in a team environment, both with customers’ and Syclo’s project teams.
• Sense of urgency and dedication to meeting customer requirements according to project plan.
• Ability to design creative mobile software solutions to satisfy customer needs.
• Ability to conduct needs analysis that will provide necessary data to write project specification document.
• Ability to work with customers to identify further needs that may lead to future consulting projects
