Agentry Server

Scalable Mobile Server features central administration and end-to-end security

The Agentry Server is the processing engine that acts as a liaison between Agentry Clients, the software running on mobile devices, and the enterprise applications with which they interact.  As such, it contains all of the communications, synchronization, security, error handling, personalization and transaction controls needed to successfully deploy, manage and support mobile solutions.  The Agentry Server enables access to all types of enterprise platforms using JAVA, XML, SQL, web services or custom APIs.

Central Administration

The Agentry Server contains a central repository of all application versions.  Application changes made in the Agentry Editor are published to the Agentry Server and automatically pushed out to devices for over-the-air upgrades without human intervention.  Agentry's Web-based Administration Console provides administrators the ability to remotely support the server.  The Agentry Server contains over a dozen log files that monitor all system events, user performance, and connector performance so administrators can easily resolve any issues that may arise.

Secure

Agentry has numerous security features to ensure maximum protection of sensitive corporate data.  These security features range from inactivity timeouts and lock-out levels to the encryption of all data transmissions as well as data on the device.  Agentry has robust device-sharing logic that ensures users see only their data and that no previous users' transactions or updates are lost.  In addition, Agentry does not require a separate set of User IDs and can integrate to your existing security system such as LDAP, Active Directory, RSA clearTrust or to security contained within an enterprise system.

Scalable

Agentry Server scales in terms of the amount of data transmitted, as well as the number of active users.  The Server has a proven record of providing reliable performance in real-life deployments numbering several thousand users, and has ensured that hundreds of thousands of records are automatically kept in sync.

Service Oriented Mobile Architecture

Agentry links the mobile application with the enterprise system through a set of connections or services. These services can be JAVA, XML or even SQL-based.  One Agentry Client can issue a "service request" to the Agentry Server, which then performs all of the security, authentication, failure conditions, networking details, and more for that service request in a self-contained manner.
