The criteria used by Gartner to evaluate over fifteen MAGs were the ability to execute and completeness of vision. The Gartner team examined each vendor and considered the overall viability of the company or division. Additional factors such as pricing models and sales organizations were considered, as well as marketing execution and customer experience. When looking at the completeness of vision, they considered the vendors' marketing and sales understanding, strategies and models. They also considered their vertical market growth strategies, technical capability and ambition to be innovators.
