Syclo Further Streamlines Workforce Operations with the Updated SMART Schedule Mobile Technology

Latest mobile software version includes enhancements that make organizations better able to manage workflow inside and outside of the four walls.

A study by the AberdeenGroup research analysts titled “The Convergence of Field Service and Asset Maintenance” details the best practices leading organizations have embraced.

SMART Schedule is an invaluable tool for maintenance and repair operations (M.R.O) that service and maintain physical assets such as mechanical equipment, manufacturing plants and vehicle fleets by allowing them to schedule the best person to perform the most critical work on time. Effectively deploying personnel to address resource management issues on a timely basis is a best practice that leads to significant improvements in worker productivity, customer satisfaction and asset reliability.

Enhancements to the latest version of SMART Schedule support this convergence of M.R.O and field service best practices with its latest enhancements. Those enhancements include support for task dependencies. SMART Schedule offers advanced scheduling options designed to allow schedulers to enforce the order of tasks created in a Maximo job plan. This allows individual tasks maintain their relationship during the assignment process.

SMART Schedules’ Automatic Recovery Mechanism enhancement has been added to the product to ensure when captured information is at risk a notification is sent to alert dispatchers. This functionality comes into play when a device continually tries to link to Maximo, but finds it unavailable.
