Richard Padula
President and Chief Executive Officer
As Syclo's President, Chief Executive and Founder, Rich has led the company's strong, consistent growth since its inception in 1995.
Under Rich's direction, Syclo has gained an expanding base of major customers and partners worldwide. Rich has built Syclo into a fast-growing company, with annual revenues doubling each year since 1997. In addition, he has assembled an experienced management team to guide Syclo's continued leadership in mobile computing solutions.
Rich has been developing large-scale enterprise applications for more than 15 years. In 1989, he formed a consulting practice, Competitive Advantage Systems (CAS), which gained a reputation for helping its Fortune 1000 clientele achieve business process improvements through the use of information technology systems. CAS clients included such leading organizations as Sprint, Allstate, and the American Medical Association. While running CAS, Rich recognized the strong returns on investment that could be achieved with mobile business strategies and founded Syclo to address the need for effective enterprise mobile computing solutions.
Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
Jeffrey Kleban
Executive Vice President, Alliances & Partnerships
The Executive Vice President of Alliances and Partnerships, Jeff has been a key driving force in Syclo's growth since co-founding the company in 1995. In his current role, Jeff is focused on directing the continued growth of Syclo's Agentry platform and other mobile products through strategic alliances.
Prior to shifting his focus on partnerships, Jeff held responsibilities within sales, marketing and corporate strategy development. In addition to helping major customers build mobile into their day-to-day workflow, Jeff also forged alliances with an array of key software communications firms including AT&T Wireless, Microsoft and MRO Software.
Jeff is a noted writer and speaker on mobile and wireless computing capabilities across industries, having been involved in their evolution over the past eight years. He has presented to CTIA, Planet PDA, and the National Association of Fleet Administrators, among his many trade show and industry speaking engagements.
Prior to joining Syclo, Jeff held executive positions in the technology, financial, and publishing industries. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mark Schlossberg
Chief Financial Officer
Mark has 17 years of experience in financial leadership, applications, and analysis.
Prior to joining Syclo as Chief Financial Officer, Mark served for more than five years as a senior investment analyst and portfolio manager at the Chicago Trust Company. He was responsible for analysis and investment decisions on a diverse array of industries, including finance, business services, and consumer and enterprise software.
Before that, Mark spent five years with William Blair & Company in investment research and analysis. His primary area of responsibility was analysis of the business services segment. Mark also has served as controller for a large Midwestern real estate and senior care firm. In addition, he managed a consulting practice specializing in the grocery industry, where he designed several accounting systems and also focused on valuation analysis and business restructuring.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University, with a major in Economics and a minor in Computer Studies, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago. He has also been designated a Certified Financial Analyst by the Association for Investment Management and Research.
Marc Chesover
Vice President, Syclo International Ltd.
Marc joined Syclo in 2004 with responsibility for Syclo's International operations covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. Marc has over a decade of experience in sales and operations for market leading software organizations and brings a wealth of international hands-on experience to the Syclo management team.
Prior to Syclo, Marc was with Indus International as the Director of Strategic Alliances & Partners for EMEA and MRO Software (an IBM Company) where he was Manager, Partner Channel for EMEA. During his tenure at MRO Software, Marc was instrumental in structuring and building a reseller program comprising over 50 organizations located in more than 26 countries.
Dwight Clarke
Executive Vice President, Customer Care
As Executive Vice President, Customer Care, Dwight Clarke assumes the supervisory role of Syclo's Customer Support and Professional Services teams and will focus on building a best-in-class CRM operation within Syclo. Clarke comes to Syclo from Bell Tech.logix Group where he led the sales and marketing organization. He also has significant experience leading professional services organizations. Specifically, he was at Siemens for 8 years, leading their CRM and Integration practices, as well as managing national accounts sales for IBM and Aspect Telecommunications. Dwight holds a Liberal Arts degree from Queens University in Canada.
Steven Bloomfield
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Steve has more than 20 years of experience in senior Human Resource positions with a variety of market-leading, world-class manufacturing organizations, including Beltone Electronics and Fel-Pro. He has led Human Resources in each of these organizations to help grow the business, improve profitability, and create the culture necessary to attract, retain, and motivate talented associates.
Steve has served as a faculty member of DePaul University and Lewis University, and is currently a faculty member at Northwestern University. His professional credentials include designation as a Certified Compensation Professional from the American Compensation Association, as well as faculty status in the compensation and benefits professional certification programs.
Steve holds Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees in Psychology from Duquesne University and a Master's in Industrial Psychology from West Virginia University.
Joe Granda
Executive Vice President, Marketing
Joe Granda is responsible for product marketing, marketing communications, and inside sales. He manages the company's marketing to boost Syclos visibility in the mobile community as well as lead product launches and new product strategy.
With more than 16 years of experience, Joe has a proven track record in marketing, sales and alliances with Internet, computer, and software companies. Prior to joining Syclo, Joe was Vice President of Business Development at CMS leading sales and marketing for an enterprise software firm. Previously he held senior marketing positions at GE, Orbit Commerce (e-Commerce software) and SPSS (business intelligence and data mining software).
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Rob Padula
Software Architect
Rob is the architect of Syclo's Agentry product and was part of the original Agentry development team after joining the company in 1995.
Drawing upon his experience in complex systems design, Rob continues to lead the development of Syclo's core technology. Prior to joining Syclo, Rob was an analog circuits designer at Megatest Corp. in San Jose, California, a manufacturer of automated test equipment for the integrated circuit industry.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
Paul Chiapuris
Executive Vice President, Software Engineering and Quality
As the head of Syclo's engineering operations, Paul oversees the company's three product development teams, as well as its implementation, training, customer support, and quality assurance.
Paul joined the company in 1995, bringing extensive experience in software development, systems integration, and network management. He directed software development and professional services for more than five years, personally overseeing more than 100 deployments of Syclo's mobile technology for customers worldwide.
Prior to joining Syclo, Paul worked for several years as a network engineer at Sprint, where he designed and implemented a LAN and WAN for more than 200 users in offices across Illinois. He also spent a year in programming at Sprint, where he was part of a team that developed a mobile repair/dispatch ticketing system.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Indiana University.
Bill Padula
Vice President, Solutions Architecture
Bill is responsible for leading Syclo's professional and consulting services teams, and serves as a key player in ensuring that implementations and custom mobile projects meet and exceed customer expectations.
For more than six years, Bill has held levels of varying responsibility at Syclo, starting as a systems integrator, and rising through the ranks to become Services Manager and, most recently, Vice President of Professional Services in charge of project management and customer training.
Heading up many of Syclo's earliest implementations, Bill gained considerable experience working on-site with clients to ensure the workflow of their mobile applications meet their business objectives. His experiences also allowed him to make significant contributions to Syclo's product specifications development.
Prior to Syclo, Bill worked in software consulting and gained extensive knowledge of custom application development for statistical reporting systems, financial tracking systems, and mobile and wireless applications. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Mark Curatolo
Vice President, Marketing
As Syclo's Vice President of Marketing, Mark Curatolo is responsible for managing marketing communications and media relations. He brings more than 15 years of marketing, communications, and management experience to Syclo. Most recently, Mark served as director of marketing for a New York Life Insurance Company subsidiary, helping it grow from a startup to a $100 million success story.
